Labrador

A month ago I lost my beloved dog Indi. The pain still there but when I think of her wonderful memories are coming back and they are so precious! She was such a happy dog, easy to live with.

Indi didn’t need a psychologist to tell her the benefit of the morning fresh air neither that the sound of the water running in the pool was calming, instinctively she knew it! That is why every morning she laid down by the pool and listened to the sound of the water. Her big nose made a funny noise when she smelled the freshness of the air. She was there by her pool in her garden and she was laying down so proudly!! She knew the smell of every flower in the garden; she was so delicate, so feminine! Her posture gave her the dignity of a queen.

She taught us that happiness could be found in simple things. Playing in the snow was one of her favorite. I remember one year especially when she played with my dear friend Rita who passed away a year ago. She knew Rita was sick and she also knew she was scared of her. Indi was a big dog but she managed her way so Rita would fall in love with her. Soon, they became good friends.

When I was sad she put her head on my feet and there she was sending me a message of compassion. She definitely enjoyed birthdays and Christmases she knew exactly were where her gifts under the tree. At the end of the evenings, tired and exhausted when the guests were ready to leave and were standing in the hall saying goodbyes she was sitting and taking part of this moment and in her way it seems like she was saying that she had a wonderful evening. She was a true member of the family and she knew exactly her role very well.

She was soft and her coat was like mink, her smell was so particular. Oh, she had her Diva moments but after a 6 months quarantine she was allowed to express her frustrations. I know now why she came in our lives and I am so thankful to her. She was such a good companion she was my best friend and I never doubt her love for me. I am so thankful to her. That is why you are so deeply missed Indi. We will meet again at the rainbow bridge.
